THE
BigBulldog will match the $2,000
Reward offered with an additional
$2,000 for the safe return
of Ginger and the arrest and
conviction of the thief, IF
it is found that this dog was
stolen. Ginger (A female Pug
Bulldog), best friend & therapy
dog for a Paralyzed Man disappeared
from a Palm Springs home on
9/12/07. Ginger, a
therapy dog
for a partially
paralyzed
man, has
gone missing
in Palm Springs,
and a $2,000
no-questions
reward is
on the table.
Sidney Holter,
the victim
of a hit-and-run
crash, keeps
calling for
the little
pug, his
best friend. "The
dog has calmed
him down
a lot," said
the man's
grandmother,
Joyce Holter,
crying softly. "She
is at his
side all
the time."Ginger,
who was bred
by his grandmother,
has been
missing since
Sept. 12.The
family is
from the
Bay Area
but takes
an annual
vacation
in the valley,
where Ginger
was left
with a pet-sitter
in Palm Springs.
It
appears Ginger squeezed out
through a gate, said the sitter,
Randy Von Gottberg. He had
a piece of concrete blocking
the gate, but it had been taken
down, possibly by the gardener.
VonGottberg said he is devastated. "She
was only out of my sight for
five minutes when I went to
the bathroom," he said. "I
didn't sleep for three days."
He
said he's been spreading the
word and posting fliers. "I
look for her every day," he said. "I'm determined to
find her. "Family friend Lisa Sheeran said they have contacted
rescue centers, vets, put up signs, talked to police and contacted
the company that microchipped Ginger.
Ginger
is not at any local shelter,
and there have been no reports
of a dead animal that resembles
Ginger, she said. Sidney
Holter was hit by a car when
he was 9. Now 27, he has
learned to walk again and
is attempting to regain his
social skills. "We're
hoping someone will have
the conscience to just return
her and take the money," Joyce
Holter said, adding you can
buy a pug for less than $2,000. "She's
priceless to us."
